One Piece Mold Making with Plaster

In this Workshop we will be exploring Plaster and how we turn a powder into a stone with water.  We will make usable molds for dinnerware, stamps, slip castings, soap making, etc.  Students are walked through the process of making a proper cast and all the steps needed for success.  All materials included, students are encouraged to bring in 2 large or multiple small pieces to be molded(Dinner pieces, favorite stamps/texture).  Please wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty. Molds will need to dry an hour before pick-up or Members are welcome to leave and store at the studio.

Booking is for two days January 27th and 28th, 2020  or February 24th and 25th- 10:00 am- 1:00 pm or March 16th and 17th 10:00am-1:00pm In this 2-day workshop you will create a silk 2X72” shawl/scarf and a 22X22” pillow, both 100% silk. We will use gutta (not the cheese) and get lost in the yummy colors that you can mix and blend. We will use two types of dyes, gutta and salt and of course silk. Oh Baby!!!!!!
