Debido a que las gomas naturales son quebradizas con el paso del tiempo, Pinto ha agregado un aditivo que permite que este barniz sea más flexible y estable, con el fin de evitar el craquelamiento originado por los cambios climáticos y antigüedad de la obra. This is a varnish made with Dammar gum. Given that natural gums/resins are very brittle over time, Pinto implemented an additive that allows for this varnish to be more flexible and stable, in order to avoid crackling that arises by temperature changes and by the artwork's state over time.
